Phil Reed

Phil Reed is a multi-discipline creative designer, specialised in surface pattern design and trend consultant for the fashion and interior design industry. As a designer, Phil has gained extensive experience over the past 20 years, working with retail clients from high street to designer level.

Phil has always created art. The pieces he features at friendmade® have been created over the last 2 years. “I create photographic collages of landscapes from memory. Abstract pieces that feel like I felt in that moment in that certain place.”

Inspired by Nature, Landscape, Negative space and Colour, Phil’s prints are created digitally by collaging photographic images of natural stone, including marble, onyx and granite. The amazing colours, textures and patterns of these natural surfaces are his main focus when composing each piece.

Phil’s future plans? To keep working across many design disciplines and inspire his daughters and the people around him to look at the world in different ways and perspectives.
